Interviewed by Lynn Townsend!

Hi everyone!

I’ve hopped over to Lynn Townsend’s blog today! Ms. Townsend is the editor of the exciting and forthcoming Coming Together: Among the Stars, which is a charity anthology to benefit Still’s Disease. I’m so thrilled to be a part of this book, and I have more info plus an excerpt coming closer to its release in mid-December. But for now, the lovely Ms. Townsend was kind enough to invite me over to her place. Hurray!

Ms. Townsend asked me all sorts of fun questions about my stories, my process, how I came to writing, and a few other details about me. Plus, she even got a picture of my desk…and a small confession about the origins of some of my stories. Hmmm… 😉

So, please join us over at her site. I had a fabulous time answering her questions, and I hope you enjoy finding out a little more about me!

Thanks for reading, and please pre-order your copy of this fabulous anthology to support a great cause. You can find it on Amazon or Smashwords!

XX,
Jade

  1. I agree! I read it this morning before going to work, when of course I had zero time, but it’s a great interview and paints an intriguing portrait. I agree with Delilah’s comment about how interesting to learn about different authors’ work patterns, what works for them and what doesn’t. My best creativity comes in the morning, too, but I really struggle to find availability of time then, outside of weekends, so I typically slog away in the later evenings instead. I love all the pinned notes and mementoes about your desk!

I will definitely be looking for the release of Coming Together! I’m excited to see what you do with the speculative fiction (ok, I’m old-fashioned, I still call it science fiction, but I read a lot of it) theme. 🙂

    • Thanks so much for the comment, Lace! I love my notes and mementoes, too — they started fairly randomly, but then they just kept adding up and now it’s a bit of a bulletin board buffet. As for mornings, I tell you — I hated 4:30 when I started, but the productivity has been tremendous. There’s something lovely about being up in the quietest time of the neighborhood! I am excited to hear you’re looking forward to Coming Together, and I hope you’ll enjoy “The Joy Ride” and all the other fabulous stories in there! It’s for such a great cause, I can’t wait! Oh, and I would say “The Joy Ride” is definitely more sci-fi than spec fic (my other spec fic was always more weird or dark surreal fantasy than sci-fi), but it’s all under the same umbrella, so it’s all good. 🙂 Either way, I’m so glad to hear you read that genre too! Thanks again.
